National Guard adjutants general were among the military leaders attending in support of the Department of Defense joint security cooperation program, managed by the National Guard Bureau and executed by USEUCOM, with National Guard units matched with participating countries within the USEUCOM area of responsibility. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the program, which facilitates cooperation across all aspects of international civil-military affairs, strengthening relationships and increasing interoperability. STUTTGART, Germany- An Army National Guard Helicopter task force completed the first aviation support rotation of its kind in Europe. The multi-state unit from Colorado, Kansas and Utah brought U.S. and allied special operations forces, in the Special Operations Command Europe area of responsibility, the ability to train from new heights, literally, from July to October 2016.
ILLESHEIM, Germany- Army National Guard Helicopter Taskforce Blackhawk pilots stage their aircraft on Illesheim airfield July 11. The task force is comprised of four UH-60L Black Hawks and Soldiers from the Colorado, Utah and Kansas Army National Guard and will be supporting Special Operations Command - Europe’s components during training and exercises throughout Europe for the next few months.

New York Air National Guard Airmen hone cold weather flying skills and support science research in Greenland

KANGERLUSSUAQ, GREENLAND--Two hundred New York Air National Guard members are rotating into and out of Greenland this summer to support National Science Foundation research on the ice cap here, while also preparing for Antarctic deployments in the fall.
