About the Command
U.S. European Command (USEUCOM) is one of 11 Unified Combatant Commands in the U.S. military and its primary responsibility is to provide command and control of U.S. military forces in Europe to protect and defend the U.S. and its NATO Allies and partners through deterrence, peacekeeping and military operations.
Mission
USEUCOM's mission is to deter conflict, maintain peace and security, and provide strategic depth through military operations, exercises and security cooperation with NATO Allies and partners. The command is dedicated to proactively safeguarding the homeland while enhancing security across the Euro-Atlantic region. It is responsible for planning and executing military operations within its area of responsibility, which includes conducting joint and multinational training, providing military assistance to partner nations, and fostering military-to-military relationships with Allies and partners.
