US and Estonian Soldiers plant trees in honor of Earth Day

LAANE VIRU COUNTY, Estonia- Soldiers assigned to Company C, 1st Battalion, 68th Armor Regiment, 3rd Armored Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, based out of Fort Carson, Colorado, gather with James Melville, Jr., the U.S. Ambassador to Estonia, Marko Pomerants, the Estonian Minister of Environment, and local students from the Global Learning and Observations to Benefit the Environment (GLOBE) program, April 28, 2017. The invitation to join in the celebrations serve as evidence of the unity between Estonia and NATO allies, who are currently participating in Operation Atlantic Resolve and strengthening deterrence capabilities with partnered forces. Operation Atlantic Resolve, a U.S. led effort in Eastern Europe, demonstrates U.S. commitment to the collective security of NATO and dedication to enduring peace and stability in the region.
